Located between Downtown Bellingham and Western Washington University, the Sehome Neighborhood is one of Bellingham's historic neighborhoods, with many of the homes over 50 years old. There are many large, architecturally impressive houses of historical value in the older residential part of the neighborhood, many with city, bay, and mountain views.
The 165-acre Sehome Hill Arboretum is a prominent open space/natural area that borders of the neighborhood. The Sehome Arboretum includes walking trails and dramatic views of Bellingham Bay. Both Laurel and Forest & Cedar are neighborhood parks which feature playgrounds, half court basketball, and open lawn areas.
